Hey Parents and Kids of New Cov,

I would like to take an opportunity to introduce myself.   And I would really like to get to know you.  Let’s go to the park, grab an ice cream cone, go to lunch, or get a coke.  You choose.  I love new ideas.  I would also love to have lunch with you at your school!!  Call me at the church—I would rather be hanging out with you than sitting in an office, or e-mail me at lbirsner@ncovenant.org ANYTIME! 

I love kids.  I have 4 of my own from 3 years old to 5^th grade.  I’m married to Cody and he is a lot like a kid. FUN!  My degree is in education.  I thought I would be a schoolteacher, but God had other plans for me.  I began as a part-time youth director in college which turned into a full-time Christian Education Director after graduating.  I don’t want to date myself, but I have about 10 years of professional experience and many, many years as a children’s ministry volunteer.  And to me that is a good fit because I love Jesus the most!

No wonder I’m doing what I’m doing because I’ve always said that the best things in life are messy.  Think about it!

My faves are lobster, popcorn (I think it might be the butter I actually like), the beach on an ocean, playing games, reading a good book, sleeping in (the best is a jammy day at our house), walking, sunsets, amusement parks, traveling, lying in a hammock, laughing with friends and family and the list could go on and on because God made the world so wonderful!!!  My three pet peeves are wet socks—I can explain later, mosquitoes and flies (I can’t wait to have a good conversation with God about those!)  And I can’t wait to know you!     Let’s get together!
