Your Faith Promise Dollars at Work. . . .
Where do your donations to Faith Promise go? A few weeks you read about Debbie and Bruce Warren. They are in the United Kingdom helping with Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, assisting and learning about “Encountering the World of Islam” so that they can better understand and adapt their knowledge to working with Muslims in the UK, moving into a neighborhood densely populated with Pakistanis, etc. They are busy as they build relationships and spread the word of God!
Robert Wheelis was our Director of Student Ministries at New Covenant a few years ago. He and his wife, Jenny, felt God calling their family to Albania to work with the youth! Your contribution to Faith Promise helps to support them as they bring young people to Christ. Recently the youth worship team at Nxenesite Jezusit Church (Disciples of Jesus) led the church in worship for their weekly service. They led worship, presented a drama, and one of the new believers gave her testimony.
To see generations of Albanian teens begin an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ that empowers them to worship Him passionately, serve Him eagerly and share Him fearlessly with others.
Robert wrote:
There are only a few words to describe the Youth service on Saturday night - God showed up in a mighty way! Truly, we were humbled and awed at how the youth came together to serve the church and God was honored in the process! We wanted to share these words from one of our Albanian leaders, Visi (nickname for Evis). What a joy to see others catch the vision which God has put on our hearts!
"I don't know why I'm writing this note because I'm out of words. Yesterday's church meeting was simply amazing. It was one of those meetings in which you can do nothing, but get amazed by the marvelous way God is working in our church and through teenagers especially. When I saw them preparing and leading the whole meeting I had the living proof that teenagers are not the church of tomorrow; they are an extremely important part of the church of today. We as a youth ministry have a vision and we all know it. What makes me happy is that the vision we have, is becoming real in front of our eyes. The reason I tagged you in this short note is because I just want to thank each and everyone of you. The most important thing is that God is happy and I believe He is saying to us: Well done, good and faithful servant! Another important thing is: Let's not read this note and feel like we did it. Let's not feel like now we have a PhD in leading church's meetings, but as Robert said, let's have a heart that woes for the lost and let's go fishing! God will do the rest…" ~Evis Plaku
All that to say a huge "THANKS!" for your prayers and your partnership! None of this would have been possible without YOU! God is using you to impact the nations for HIS GLORY!
Loving God...Loving People,
Robert Wheelis
