Do you know anyone serving in the military? Any families with loved ones in Iraq, Afghanistan or any of the hundreds of places our honored military personnel may be serving while most of us are safe and comfortable? New Covenant’s Missions Team is sponsoring the Blue Star Mothers as the focus area for support in October.

The requested items for donation include: Beef jerky & Slim Jims, Snack foods, Drink mixes (single packs), Snap-open canned items (soups, chili, baked beans, and fruit), Granola and Breakfast bars, Non-refrigerated microwave meals (Dinty Moore, Hormel, Del Monte), Tear open packs of tuna or salmon, Non-meltable candy, Gum & Breath mints, Tooth paste, Deodorant, Batteries AA or AAA, Disposable razors, Hacky-sacks, Tooth floss, Wet wipes, Chap stick, Bug Repellent wipes, Plastic forks/ spoons, Toothbrushes, Antacids, After shave gel, Flip-flops, Lotion for dry skin (Travel-size): mouthwash, foot powder, eye drops, zip-lock bags, toenail clippers, Frisbees, Baseballs, Games, and Magazines.

The Packing Party is Saturday, November 14th, at Peace Lutheran Church on Danforth starting at 9:00am. Let these men and women know we support them and appreciate what they have given up so we may live so abundantly!
