What Is Stephen Ministry?
The greatest commandment is to love one another. As a Christian community there is a group of people who do just that. They are the hands and feet of Jesus who walk beside those in the congregation who are hurting. They go through 50 hours of training and commit to two years of service in providing prayer, visitation and support. 
They are not counselors or advisors, but listeners. The heart of Stephen Ministry is confidentiality. No one knows beyond the Stephen Leaders and the Stephen Minister themselves who they are serving. Stephen Ministry Workshop - 2-20-2010
New Covenant will be hosting a Stephen
Ministry Congregational Workshop on Saturday February 20, 2010 at the
Gym from 9:00am to 1:00pm. All members of New Covenant
that are interested may attend at no charge.
A Registration fee of $15 per person or $50 per congregation for a group of four or more. Guests from congregations outside of New Covenant may register here - enter the 73013 zip code.
However, you must
register prior to attending, due to limited space (contact Gene and
V.V. McCartney). Members from other congregations will be charge a fee
of $15.00 per person or $50.00 per congregation.
